Martin Matula (* 2002) is a photographer currently studying for a master's degree at the contemporary photography studio of Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín. In 2022, he graduated in photographic design from the School of Art and Design in Košice. His work focuses mainly on documentary photography, often featuring railway motifs, but also conceptual themes. In 2025, he was awarded Young Talent of the Year in the SLOVAK PRES PHOTO competition and was also a finalist in the Students and Young People under 26 category. In the same year, he was selected by the Dutch magazine GUP in the FRESH EYES competition as one of the 100 best young photographers in Europe and was nominated for the "Personality of Czech Photography under 30" award. In addition, he exhibited at Designblok 2023 and in several collective exhibitions, such as the Festival of Contemporary Art in Prostějov, Homo photographicus in Ostrava, and Borders II in Katowice.
